Conceptions of success and fulfillment in life can be very culturally-specific. Parents often have a precise vision of their children’s future and the route to what they consider a ‘successful’ life. In some cases, failure is not even an option. But what happens if one doesn’t meet their parents’ expectations?
Following many years of both formal and informal training in contemporary dance and African styles, Patrick completed a BA Dance degree at University of Sunderland in 2011. His dance works explore a variety of themes such African heritage and cultural norms, queer theatre movement and current urban life.
